he certainly has turn around.
the temagami has my vote.

What is meant by "full tang (not broad)"? If I drill out the pins and remove the wood handles, can I stilll use the handle wrapped in paracord? It'sa beautiful blade!

That's a beautiful looking Helle. I love Scandinavian blades, no matter if it's a Finnish puukko or leuku, a Norwegian tollekniv or a Swedish Mora, they're all practical cutting tools. I've been looking at a few Helle knives at Ragweed Forge (thinking of buying a Helle Taiga) and noticed that Ragnar is carrying the Tamegami. Seems like it would make a good outdoor knife. It does look as practical as it is beautiful, although it's a bit pricey compared to Helle's usual offerings. I know it's got a semi-full tang as opposed to the basic rat-tail tang common with Nordic knives, but I'm not sure how it justifies the jump in the price tag. I guess the Les Stroud connection is what adds to the price tag? Oh well... At least it's not a China-made Gerber toy-looking knife like the one Bear Grylls has put his name on.

Don't know, but this thread is a few years old. Latest models of the Temagami have been amazing. The newest Carbon edition I got from Helle is in superb condition, and the sheath is adorned slightly better. No more file teeth on the spine, bummer.
