Hey folks. First, thanks to everyone here for your help; whether or not you know it or believe it you've all taught me more than I can even remember. This is the first knife I've finished in about 15 years, and the 6th of a batch of blades I ground and treated the other day, so it's kinda my first, kinda my 6th, and kinda my 10th. There's already a few feedback things I can mention to save someone else the time, like the fact that the handle needs to extend further to cover more of the ricasso, and that the first pin is, as a result, awkwardly placed. It'd look better with a guard too, I think, but is what it is. The blade is 1/8" 1080 from Kelly Cupples finished to 600 grit with Texas Mesquite scales and brass pins. I apologize for the small and slightly fuzzy pic, which is the result of having used the nice expensive camera instead of the small cheap one that takes better pictures.

I was going to say it looks great, but then you said that the ricasso is really open. I first thought there were bolsters on it, and that's what I suggest is done. Other than that, great work!

Dejavu ;) I thought it had bolsters also. It is still a heck of a job for you 1st, 6th and 10th knife. I bet the next one will be great also.
