First Kershaw

I don't plan on buying one soon but they seem pretty popular so I want some suggestions.

As you can tell, there are a bunch of Kershaw fans here. I own several myself as well as some of their ZT line. I love the U.S. made Kershaws, and personally think that they are a much better value than Benchmade. Find the one you like, buy it, use it and you will be a fan as well.

Kershaw has a verity of knives at different price level that will not break one’s wallet.
I have Skyline, Zing Tanto, Leek 1660 and Oso Sweet.
All has been a good knife well worth the price (<$40).

Really depends on your budget and local knife laws. I love the Piston, Shallot and Dimension

Kershaw is the best bang for your buck knife company IMO.
Their budget offerings are a very good deal for people just getting into knives.

The Skyline, Leek, and Blur are all US made and can be found for 30+ dollars.
Each of these knives are well made and have many variations.
For the upper tier there is the ZT line which is more expensive but still gives you more than your money's worth.

So many great Kershaw knives out there. By saying Kershaw I assume you are not going for the ZT line so I will just recommend Kershaw. A lot of really good ones out there so I will give my top 3. Skyline, Leek, Blur. Those are the top three to me and there are other even more budget friendly Kershaws like the chill and volt ii.

Not sure why one Kershaw knife design becomes a favorite and another one of equally good design and ergonomics goes extinct. I always thought the Leek looked too skinny and pointy to take much torque, twisting and cranking of a hard use ranch knife. I couldn't dismantle a wild hog or bulldog through a deer rib cage with a Leek with any regularity. Or a Spyderco either for that matter.

On the other hand my special promotional for Cabela's Tension model with it's wide, heavy 3.25 blade locks open with a no nonsense clunk instead of a snick and is solid as a fixed blade. It or the One-ton should last a hunter / rancher a lifetime. Surprisingly, neither one has left much of a footprint in the knife market.

I say Skyline. I love the blur and leek, but it took a while for the blur to grow on me and the leek is fine for light duty, but the blad eis very thin
