Well, I haven't been around much for several reasons not relating to knives, blade forums or anything knife related. I recently had the opportunity to get back into the garage and have some fun and this knife is the fruit of my labors. It's O1 at 59-60RC and is designed to be a pairing/petty kitchen knife. I'm not very good at photography, but in terms of the weird lens flare there are two possibilities: #1: NJSteelBaron switched my O1 stock out for Elven steel and there are orcs near by, or I'm getting some weird lens flare.

The question I have is what spray adhesive are you guys using on your disc sanders to attach sand paper to them? Also, what are you using to clean the sticky residue? Thanks!

Cheers,

Pete

I get the same halo effect when there are finger prints on my cell phone camera lens

Even with an automatic lens cover, I have to clean the lens on my cannon power shot from time to time ;0)

I am using 3M feathering disc adhesive. It's not a spray but comes in a tube. You can just remove sand paper from disc and put new sand paper on without applying more adhesive.

Do use quality sandpaper, cheaper ones leaves paper residues when removing the disk. Another trick for switching paper is to heat gun it before. It will soften the glue, making it a breeze to remove the paper.
Any contact adesive, spray or tube will do the trick... i prefer the spray.
wait a bit allowing for evaporation of the glue solvents before attaching the paper disk; i would also kill the abrasive at the very edge of the trimming.

3M feathering disc adhesive. No dinking around with heat guns. I do clean off the disc every dozen paper changes or so.
