I've been buried under my normal job alot lately, but I finally found time to fire up the forge and hammer out a new fighter. The blade is a 1095 Nicholson file, the guard is a small Nicholson file, and the butt plate is a piece of sawmill band saw blade, with a copper rivet accent. The handle is curly maple, and right now its getting tong oil finished. Ill post pictures when its done completely. Everything was forged out by hand, and the finish work was done with a mix of a 1x30 harbor freight and hand work. Anyways, I hope it isnt to ugly for my first effort in awhile, especially since my normal time in the forge is spent doing door hinges and other homestead stuff.
