First knife of the New Year! (Traditional)

Thank you, sir.

In regards to the snow, it was actually really coming down yesterday. Here's a shot of my back deck right after I walked to the mailbox to collect that beauty :)

I bet that was an exciting walk knowing what was at the end of the trail [emoji846]
Looks like you got hit pretty hard ! In my neck of woods we don't get a lot of snow but ice can be the problem .

First knife I've BOUGHT this year is this early 20th century ivory Sleeveboard by James Croisdale of Leeds, England :)

My first knife of this year. It was purchased on 12/30, but hit my mailbox on the 3rd of January. I suppose that's the point, isn't it?

This was technically paid for in 2016, but I consider it my first knife of 2017. Here's to a happy year with many more knives to come! :)

Looks like everyone here is having a good New Year so far. Ordered this Buck 110 custom this past Wednesday, it came yesterday, my first of 2017. OH

Such gorgeous knives guys!

My first buy of 2017 was a pair of used and abused rescues from a swap shop.

One was a 60's era Kamp King. It needed a new edge, but the walk and talk are great.

The others is a 40s-50s Hammer Brand Imperial jack. Rusted shut with the faux ivory peeling off, but it was only 4 bucks. A little TLC and it clicked open.
INCREDIBLE walk and talk and actually had an edge sharp enough to shave hair off my arm.

Both have gotten a lot of pocket time the last couple weeks.

My birthday is next month. I'm treating myself to a basic Beer Scout. The Kamp King, like all of my SAKs, sees more use opening up my brews than cutting much. I think a gentlemanly higher end edc is a great way to greet my 36th year.
