Finally got this thing done using my NWG and a weber grill and a hair dryer for a bellows to heat treat.
Heat treat was awkward with this rig so i splurged and bought a poorboy propane forge.
Its 5/32" O-1 and i quenched in warm corn oil, it has tung oiled walnut and red liners. The Heat treat did Seem to have worked as my file slid right off the edge when tested.
I already have a few dudes i know wanting one now..cool.
Anyways, its 6 and 3/8" OAL with a 2.5" blade. pretty hefty maybe 4 ounces?
This stuff is FUN!
