Finally! :) It's far from perfect, but it turned out better than I expected. I probably won't get a sheath made till next weekend.

OAL: 6.25"
Thickness: 0.105" at ricasso
Materials: Aldo's 1084
natural cow bone, sealed w/CA

There are too many people in this forum who helped with this to name them all, but if you ever posted an answer or a question here, you're one of the ones I'd like to thank. It's been an amazing journey so far!

Very nice Doc. Nice attention to detail, looks like you didn't try to rush it.

Lukus, I couldn't tell you how many times I called it "good enough", and then picked it back up to clean up one more little detail. Apparently this is just like making jewelry; it tells me when I'm finished. :p

Grinds look way better then my first one good job.

All I can say is that Fred Rowe's Bubble Jig is the cat's meow.

Honestly, I'm not yet convinced it's a knife. I did the heat treat myself, so it'll take some time and use to know how good it really is. All I can say at this point is that it takes a lot more to sharpen it than my old Gerbers.... ;)

Anyway, thank y'all all for the kind words! I'm mighty proud to become a part of this community.

Doc

PS - That design's not all that original. It's my Gerber LST Ultralight all growed up....
