Happy New Year Everyone , I hope to be able to bring you a lot of nice knives this year. I'll kick it off with 2 by John Lloyd , the " force " in custom slipjoints.
This is a swayback Jack by knife maker John Lloyd. It has rag micarta from Shadetree,I'd say like dark greenish black, with red accents . Some of the cloth pieces used, show like a blue jeans, almost a " canvas" texture. I'm not sure if I caught that, but this is a snappy, light thin knife. 4" closed, the blade is 3-1/8" from tip to scales with 2-3/4" of edge.Opened up is 7-1/8" .Blade & spring are 52100 carbon. The liners are ss & mill relieved. The pins are ss. Inlaid & pinned fancy shield. The pull is about a 6,it's medium firm , smooth & snappy, perfect for me , if you like a weaker spring this might scare you.The blade is hollow ground super thin,it is razor like, satin finish & a crescent nail pull. Spring is flush with the liners, blade centers closed ,pretty perfect. Price includes shipping in the States & Paypal fee's.
$300.
