Hi everyone! Here are my first couple knives of 2017! The larger knife is my skinning design- overall length is just shy of 7 inches. The blade is clay quenched 1095 and the handle is figured walnut with white G10 liners. The 2 smaller knives have an overall length of 6 inches with a cutting edge of 2.75 inches. The handles are cocobolo with black G10 liners. One is 15n20, the other 1095, both clay quenched. Please let me know what you guys think!

I think they look pretty nice.

Only thing I might change is grind off that pointy bit on the ricasso area
But this is subjective as I remember a time where I liked pointy bits .

I think you've taken the critiques of your early work to heart. Through hard work and perseverance you have corrected those mistakes and are now producing very nice knives. I am not such a fan of pointy bits at the ricasso either but that is a design choice and not something you should change to satisfy someone else's personal taste. That decision should be between you and your client. Actually, I think it works stylistically with the beak you have at the butt of the handle. Keep up the good work, Nic.

Thank you guys very much! I really appreciate the feedback!

Marc and Teppojutsu- the pointy finger guard isn't my favorite thing either, I much prefer the more subtle "guard" on the skinnier knife.

I really appreciate all of the encouragement and advice you have given me- thank you very much!
