First kwaiken in w2

I had an extra piece of w2 laying around and decided to make a kwaiken. This is my first attempt trying to make a Japanese style knife. The Hamon came out pretty nice. I have a friend that has some property with a pond on it, that is the clay I used. Later down the road once I experiment with the clay I may give some away to see how people like it.
What do you guys think? Open to all suggestions and critiques.
Thanks

many times the hamon does not follow the clay pattern, so it is a mystery until it is etched. it has the possibility of looking very cool. did the pond clay expand or any of it pop off during the heating ?

No the pond clay did not pop or expand I put a very thin layer when applying the clay.
I am still playing around with it and have got some pretty good results.

Yeah...what's showing in the pics you have here is definitely not hamon. It's the scale/crust where the clay was.

It would be really nice if it turns out like that. Grind it out and you will start to see what the hamon really is doing.
