Spent today felling ash and hazel saplings and turning them into 5' long 3" diameter stakes. Usually I'd have taken the 20" village Salyan for this job, but on a whim I grabbed the featherweight 20" village sirupati, the first HI knife I ever bought.
I'd forgotten what a superb tool the little sirupati is. Talk about a pleasure to use! Light and handy, no arm or hand fatigue, seemed to glide through wood like a laser; one touch with the carbide 'chakma' when I got home, and it's razor sharp once again.
Moral; your best-ever most favorite HI khukuri is always the one you've just been using...
