First Military - Ti or G10?

I am totally in love with the orange and camo g10 military models. I would get one of those simply for the cool factor.

I was going make a hybrid Ti Mili with an S90V blade and a Carbon fiber scale on the side opposite the lock. The weight savings (22gm) didn't justify the hassle, but I did put the Ti and S90V together. The CF knife weighs 118gm,and the Ti knife weighs 162gm.

Go for the G10. It's grippier and the lock is fine, so I've heard (I will never again trust a liner lock)

get g10 first its light and easy to carry ,

i say get the TI. i perfer a knife with alittle weight on it and i like frame locks better.

and that's is one nice frame lock

wish the Ti version had g10 atleast on one of the side though.

So is the tang on the ti version concave like on a strider or does it have more of a square edge to it?

Which ever one you can afford. If you buy the Ti version and decide you are not digging it, you have a very good trading item. :)

The Salbenza is appreciably heavier than the old school G-10 version. I'm with powernoodle on this'un. I find myself yearning for the old G-10 version more and more. I didn't think it'd be this way. I thought the Salbenza was gonna be the grail of the mil lineup. But gravity has an effect I suppose. Feels clunky, especially when doing a quick spyderdrop deployment. You get the feeling you're gonna shoot it across the room. Sheesh. Love the idea. Hate the weight. Cheers.

Hey Trix, that crosshair Seb is breathtakingly beautiful. I was fortunate enough to be over at New Graham Pharmacy the day those were being put in stock. Mike let me check one out in person. The damascus on the one I handled looked like it was on fire. I mean seriously. Mike made the comment that it looks like you'd have to plug this knife in overnight to recharge the "glow". What a sweet blade. Congrats. Use that baby in good health man. Cheers.
