..and WOW!
Picked up a Native III to replace my Renegade (which got a little melted when I cut a wire that was still live) and the improvements to the serrations and blade profiling are just amazing.
I work as a carpenter, so I've usually got three knives with me at work, and they see some hard use at times. Been carrying the Native for a couple of weeks now and it has impressed the hell out of me. Great handle design, super sharp blade profile, and the new serration style (I know, not really new, but new to me:) ) cuts like a sharp saw.
Seems alot has changed in the past 6-7 years that I've been absent from the knife industry:D

I don't own a Native 3, but I'm not surprised you're liking it. Every new Spyderco I've gotten has impressed the hell out of me, too. And I've been buying too many! It all started with a Native. "Watch out!" is all I can say–and enjoy.

Glad you like your Native III. That was my first Spyderco. Just love that blade configuration and the handle ergos. I've now obtained 10 other Native variations as well as about 8 other Spydie models as a result. Happy cutting!

Many thanks for your practical advice.

I picked one up...with serrations...at a Base Exchange recently. While I'm not a professional like you, I'm extremely pleased with my serrated NIII. Even though I don't usually carry serrated pocket knives, this little darling is a real favorite!
