Hi everyone, this is my first post on BF so I figure I should introduce myself. I am a hobbyist knifemaker living in Northwest Montana. I've been making knives for the last couple years, every since I got bit by the knife bug after making my first knife out of an old saw blade. But I've loved knives for as long as I can remember, and the process of learning how to make them has been a continuing journey that's been really rewarding, in large part thanks to what I've learned here.

As a knifemaker, I am a pure amateur. Some of the knives I've seen here on BF from you guys are works of art that are pretty humbling to a guy like me. My knives are decidedly not art; they are not flawless and would probably be set aside as "seconds" or "blems" in most of your shops. But I do put an enormous amount of work into each one (even if it may not look like it) and can say at the very least they are working blades you can count on.

These two are a model I call "Legend Creek" (I grew up on the east branch of the Chagrin River in Ohio, and my models are named after area creeks and other stuff that reminds me of home)

Here are the specs:

Overall length: 6.5"
Blade length: just under 3" tip-to-ricasso
Blade material: 1080, 1/8" stock
Blade finish: Satin
Handle finish: Sanded then buffed w/ paste wax
Price: $65 each BOTH SOLD. Free shipping to CONUS. Paypal/email address is EastBranchKnives@gmail.com
Comes with Kydex sheath

#1: Legend Creek in Bolivian Rosewood (this one's got a small tear-out by the pin as shown in the 3rd pic - like I said my knives are far from perfect!)

#2: Legend Creek in Kingwood

Thanks for looking!!!

Sorry about that, I'm still figuring out how to do the pics. I tried using the "insert image" button but I guess I didn't do it correctly, so I switched to using the "attachments" feature. I think that'll work.

They look pretty good East Br. Like the convex grinds. Simple but effective designs. Well done! I appreciate your humility. That, to me, never goes out of style. Keep up the good work ______ ?

Mike, those are some good lookin' knives. Straightforward and functional.
Knifemaking is a continuous learning process and you will learn something new every day. Keep up the good work!

I'm looking for something with a longer blade length. Otherwise, I would have been proud to call one of these mine. I particularly like the handle of the first one. I look forward to seeing your future knives.

Thanks Don, I appreciate that. I really like working with wood for handles. There's something about the traditional look and feel that appeals to me. My father in law has a carpenter's brace (u-shaped hand drilling tool) that's over 100 years old with rosewood spindles (grips) that look great after all these years.

Congrats on your first sale, good looking blades. I wish you many more!
