I've been looking for a reason to make a first official post here in the board but I haven't been able to for the last two years... Been reading everyone's posts and followed a lot of conversations over the time I've lurked...
Everyone here is a pretty big fan and I'd like to become more active in the community. I have seen Ethan reply to first time posts before in past and I think it's pretty amazing that I buy knives from a person so involved in his customer service that he'd talk to them online like he does!
Since I first was convinced to choose Beckers as my fixed blade choice when I first decided to throw folders aside and buy something of value, I have been impressed at thier durability, quality and value for the money that we spend on these tools.. It's actually more than impressing..
I read that famous post on the bk2 where the guy uses it on everything on his farm pretty much and immediately bought the knife as my starter... Then the passion grew just from how much promise the knife had for the entire line and now I have 4. With plans for more! Haha, just love how great the handles are on reducing hot spots to near zero.

Well just wanted to say hi to everyone and see if you guys were actually as friendly as I had seen!
Create a good day!

I feel honored that you chose us for your first post....... Thank you!..... Thank you too for your kind words about the "kids", it is good to see that they have found a good home!...... Pull up a chair, throw a stick on the fire and join in....Good times await......

Welcome aboard!

The BK2 test (the three part series) where he batoned through a lawnmower is actually how I found this place. The conversations here were what spurred me to get my first Becker (BK2, probably a good choice over the Gerber prodigy I was considering before :p).

The great support/community, and the amazing ergos of the handles were what kept me coming back.

Enjoy your stay :D.

Welcome SynSerp. I imagine we'll be "seeing" more of you here in this corner of the Web as I'm not sure you'll find a nicer, more helpful bunch of virtual neighbors than the folks here in the BK&T subforum. I came to learn a bit about these blades I enjoy so much - stayed for the company.

The 2 was my first (have six now). You made a great choice. Now get some pics up soon!

Welcome aboard. Becker Knife and Tool was also my first posting area. The people here are great and the knives speak for themselves. I've since wondered into a lot of custom knives but I always come back to my Beckers. If you haven't tried a 16 do yourself a favor and get one. One of the best designed knives I've ever owned and will always be in my rotation.

Oh and Ethan is a great guy! It said a lot to me when I first started here that the man himself was here to share his life with us...

Wow SynSerp...I felt like I was reading my own post although I hadn't written it. Pretty much the same story of how I got started here! Welcome!

Welcome, aboard! You WILL NOT find a better place on the web. This place is filled with the nicest, most knowledgeable, and most helpful people you'll ever meet in cyberspace, or even better in person. This place truly is a gathering of the most like-minded individuals. Feels pretty good to be a part of it. Even for my tiny contribution to it.

Seriously, this guy is the best.

Welcome, OP! You remind me of a younger version of myself...... please don't take that as an insult :p

Hey buddy! Yeah man the folks in here are marvelous peeps. The information is what drew me here but the friendliness is what kept me here. I've been a member on quite a lot of forums before (mostly car forums) and nary have I really felt the urge to participate as I have here. Was only there to get information. Here though I have made friendships with people I'll probably never (unfortunately) have the pleasure of actually meeting but ne'ertheless I count as real as any 'real life' friend. And having Uncle E reply to a post or thread is a real awesome kick. He's such a nice bloke and takes a real interest in our interest..

Good to see you take a seat next to the fire mate. Look forward to more of your input..

Springy..

Welcome to the forum.

Welcome! You'll be hard pressed to find a better batch of guys and gals than these. You already know how amazing the knives and their designer are.

Welcome! I'll say that the guy who posted just before me is really a friendly person. The one who is posting after me...well, we're still keeping our eyes on him. ;)

Well, I guess thats me
I have learned alot from the folks around here and they are more than willing to help. Enjoy the addiction.

Absolutely! I've had the pleasure to purchase the 14, 15, 16, and the aforementioned 2. All of which I have felt like I do every time I listen to an album of a band that I have as a real favorite; in the beginning it's just good music but as time goes on you notice all of the thought and purpose of each angle the product offers us... "Almost" as if it was designed to be that way. Haha!
It's just good to see that you built something that you knew the end user would enjoy as much as you would. Much warmth and empathy there sir. That's a rare commodity these days... Just saying thanks for the passion.

Welcome!

That BK2 testing seems to have brought many of us here ;) There is no denying its one hell of a blade! Get some pictures up when you can! we love to see em!
