First One Finally Finished!!!

Thanks guys! Feels good is an understatement. The problem is trying to keep it from becoming an obsession and I wonder if a lot of people feel that way. Right now I have very few hours I can dedicate to the shop but my mind, it seems, is always there. Maybe it's a winter thing and with all the activities I associate with the warmer weather I'll find a better balance. Oh well. If this is the worst addiction I have I suppose I'll be alright.

Mark,

this blade turned out perfect, handle reminds me on the handle on a folder you designed ;)

plunge cuts are clean and the design is just awesome!!! great work!

Thanks a bunch guys!! Far, far from perfect but thankfully bad photos can hide a lot.

Dalibor - I appreciate the kind words. And holy cow, it does look quite like that one and I never even thought about that until you mentioned it. Funny how I missed that. Maybe in another year I'll get to where you started.

Bevels (and everything else) was ground on my KMG and if you were asking about belts, usually start with Norton Blaze 50's then go to 100's (FYI- I guess because nobody ever uses 100's they are always on sale for ~$5). Then go to 220 but i can't remember which brand this one was done with.
