According to their site, 8 persons expedition style.

Something I have come to understand as "dog eye". Very hard to switch off when it has been vigilant for so long. I'll never be truly ready for it enough to adjust quickly despite practice.

Yeah, it's hard. Also, the simple things like, my little girl dropping food on the floor and he's not there to pick it up. Silly things.

Listen man - if you wife buys a nice tent - have the common courtesy of putting YOUR pink tent INSIDE the tee-pee.

I'm curious, is that lavvu something you could pack/canoe in with, or is it horse/car gear?

It's about 18 kilos (39.6832072 pounds says google) and not a very big package so I don't know the weight limits in a canoe but it might be possible. They also have a lighter version made of polyester ripstop.

No, I have a spark arrestor/raincap and the canvas is pretty thick material.

Nice tipi and beautiful color to boot.

I have an Kifaru 12 man with large and arctic stove that I have in my Nissan Pathfinder. It's smaller than the Bison 8 tipi but still has plenty of room for 4-5 fellas and gear.

What I like about the tipi shelters like this is the standup room, comfort and the ability to heat them. Ideal for families
