I read the rules, bought a $30 gold membership. I'm here to sell.

That said, I am not a knife guy in any regard other than what I use in the kitchen. I have some things to sell acquired from an estate, and I don't know which sub forum to place them in For Sale By Individual.

Where would one ideally post a for sale Harvey Draper Arkansas Toothpick? I am torn between Custom and Fixed Blade.

I'm now realizing maybe I should start off selling things like Gerbers, and lower tier knives, and then put up her Randall and Harvey Draper after I've done a few transactions.

Nothing more says scam than HARVEY DRAPER FOR SALE in post #1.

I have a lot of strange stuff here, and some of it looks like it's straight out of the TV show "Forged In Fire", and some of it clearly has pedigree worth $$$.

Thanks for putting up with me.

Yeah, its a good idea to start with cheaper knives and get some positive feedback, also posts help (at least for me), anyway, welcome

Go to for sale by individuals. Create a new thread in whatever blade option works for you. If your selling a fixed blade, create a thread in fixed blade. Look at other sales threads and read rules above for sales for the information you need to provide for a sale. There is a lot to do and learn here besides selling as well. Welcome and good luck with your sales

...Hope these are not stolen. Referencing an old lady (rather than someone I know, or my grandmother) is a little off to me

Good luck

Welcome! I dont have to much experience selling yet, But I think starting with the cheap stuff first and get some feedback. I would list that blade in the fixed blades for sale by individual section. Good luck!

Going strictly by the rules, you shouldn't have announced that you're selling for an old lady.
3. No sales for third parties. If your "friend" wants an item sold, they must create their own account and list it themselves.

Well, I would rather be selling them through CalGuns.net where I have 2000 posts to my name and several gun buys and sells in my trader rating. But this is the audience for these things, and now I'm the new guy that's got to play the web forum pecking order.

I'll start by cleaning out my own garage, and stuff my dad had.

You seem to be on the right track. It's worth perusing The Good, Bad and Ugly subforum to see what some of the more common mistakes and problems are and that might also give you a bit of a feel for the culture here. Good luck!
