Not sure if this is the correct place to post this but if not I apologize. I have been wanting to start this hobby for the past 15 years and finally decided that it was time, even if I don't have the best shop. A small grill with a small pipe for air from a hair dryer and lump charcoal, a 70 lb block of steel on a wooden stand, and a $20 4 lb hammer from Lowe's is my shop. But my son and I turned some welding steel into the ugliest pair of tongs I have ever seen in my life today. These tongs are the greatest tool I will ever own though.
I appreciate the fact that you guys are so willing to share your knowledge and showed me that I could start pursuing this with basic basic tools. I look forward to sharing more from my shop in the future and one day contribute to another's pursuit of this art.
