I realize that these have their differences tip up/tip down, size, weight, assisted open etc. Was wondering what you guys would recommend out of the three. I am leaning towards the Spyderco. Once again... this is an EDC multifunctional blade. Looking for something that will do everyday tasks and hold an edge for a very long time. Cool factor never hurts either :).

-Zero Tolerance 0300
-Sypderco Milie S90V
-Emerson CQC 7 + Wave

Thanks ahead of time and sorry if this is the millionth thread on a topic such as this. Try to keep comments regarding these 3. I know there are plenty of other options and I have looked a ton of them pretty closely.

all 3 are great choices,,

my pick would be the Sypderco Milie ,,,im a fan :D

Out of all three, I'd go with the Millie. It just looks so darn functional and comfortable in the hand. Probably a bit large for my taste, but nonetheless, a wonderful knife. That S90V will hold an edge for quite some time.

I'd probably pick the Military, but I am a self-professed Spidie fan.

I am not sure about the sized on the other two, but do be aware that at 4-inches, the blade on the Military is illegal for public carry in some areas of the US. Be sure of your state and local ordinances re: knives if you intend to carry something that large.

My vote is for the Emerson. The waved knives are the fastest opening knife of any avaliable, use it if you like, but you don't have to. The ergos are prety much spot on, its solid and has a great track record. The only down side is the blade shape and the fact that it is only sharpend on one side, it may be a a bit intimidating to sharpen, yet not too hard.

That said the spyerco is more of a slicer with a thin defined tip, while the emerson is more of a piercer with a robust heavy tip. Really depends on your definition of EDC, all are great knives, try eachone if you can and buy the one that has the best feel.

If you like a big knife and don't mind the weight go ZT0300. For me, when in doubt, go framelock. I have 2 0300's and feel extremely secure with them as working blades.

Emerson. I actually like the tanto tip for precision cutting, almost like a scalpel. I EDC'd one for 2 years in BT and combo edge. And the wave opener can't be beat.

I've been EDCing a ZT 302 and don't find the weight to be a problem. I don't know if it's because I'm accustomed to having things in my pockets or just because I have pants that fit. Either way you have narrowed it down to 3 really good choices, at this point in your search your best bet is to try and find a place where you can actually hold a couple of them.

If you can't do that then go with which ever one you like the most, you can't make a bad choice out of these three.

I would go with the military, your getting a way better blade steel.
Plus I don't like that the zt is so heavy and has such a broad blade.

This is too easy. :D

Military.

Reason's why the other's wouldn't work for me and myself:
ZT is a brick. It's overbuilt and huge. Sometimes this is a good thing. Mine is currently resting in my back pocket as my S90V Military takes the front seat. I'm only carrying it because I just got it.
The Emerson is nice, but I really prefer the thinness of the military, the flowing design, and the tip. Oh you can't find a tip like that on any other knife. Except maybe the para. :p

The Millie . Big knife that carries small an light . The 300 is a great knife , but heavy for EDC , an I'm not a big assisted fan. I'm not a fan of chisel grinds or tantos , which rules out the Emerson .

Like everyone says, all are great knives. i would take the ZT though for the frame lock and the blade steel. s90v is top of the line for cutting chores, but a little brittle for everyday cutting/scraping/hacking/digging chores the big ZT s30v blade will win that battle. the Military has a thin tip. let us know either way

Out of these 3 I vote for the ZT

But if it was up to me, I would actually go for a ZT 0500.

Definitely the Millie. The ZT is HEAVY for EDC. No experience with the Emerson tho but the Millie out of those would probably still win
