First Quality EDC Knife (narrowed to 3 choices)

Alright guys thanks for so many replies in such a short period of time! I think I am going to go with the spyderco for the reasons that were pointed out in this thread as well as cost (well under the ZT blade) and the fact that its a limited edition knife. A few of you have mentioned that the S30V might be a better EDC option, but I must say that I probably will not find myself using it as a pry bar or getting super rough with it. If I do need something a bit more substantial then I will look into the ZT or maybe even a Strider in a year or so. Thanks again :)

Good choice! I was so impressed with the S90V Millie that I bought two.

Reno, NV is my location to be a little more specific. Probably should ask over a PM and not in a general discussion forum, but if you are from around the area would you happen to know of any good blade shops around?

military. I have the s90 (along with the d2 and bg42) and the steel holds an edge forever. I carry mine in my back pocket as I am constantly getting in and out of my truck and keep keys in the front, and with the militarys weight and thin profile, you never know it is there. Tried a zt and those things are heavy - I did not like the handle ergos nearly as well as the military. Never have looked at the emerson, but the blade steel in the military gives it a leg up in my opinion. The militarys liner lock is as good as it gets - mine gets used pretty hard and there has never been any problem with the lock, nor have I ever read about a lock problem here on the forum with the military. Really great knife.

BIG Knives!!!
If I had to carry one of them every day I would for sure pick the Spyderco Military. The one I had on Back Pack for a 2 years was a real workhorse tool. Light too! Never failed. I had a ZT0200, nothing wrong with it, it just seemed to be a bit overkill in it's build to me. Would like to see the 0200 on a diet for EDC use. Thinned out and lightened up a bit per say. The Military worked great for me...

In case like this where the choices are all excellent knives, I give my standard answer of, "handle them all and choose the one that feels the best to you." Also, since they are all good choices, you wouldn't go wrong choosing the one that you think is most visually appealing...

I know you already decided on the Military, but here's another vote for the Military anyway

Anyone have anything to say about http://www.greatknivesgreatprices.com/servlet/StoreFront. Their prices are wayyy low on the spyderco and am wondering if its for real?

There is a wonderful thread about GKGP in the Reviews/Exchange forum. Probably under the "Hall of Shame"... That will tell you what's up with them.

And their prices are only low compared to MSRP. Check out NGK or the KnifeCenter.com out.

Cool just ordered the last in stock military S90V from NGK and am psyched to get my hands on a lasting high quality pocket blade. Once again thanks for the help guys and I'm glad you warned me about GKGP.
