First "real knife", searched and read, maybe too much...

ZT 0450 or the Kershaw leek would be great choices, I don't suit up every day but when I do those are what I carry.

Get the 0566. It's a great little knife and personally believe it would withstand more of a beating than the PM2 but things to take into consideration. It is heavier. It is thicker, so doesn't slice as well.

I prefer it to the PM2 though, the deep carry clip is nice. The thing about it is that if you do get it, remove the torsion bar and polish the washers with like 2500 grit automotive sandpaper and it will be a lot better.

I cannot thank you all enough for the recommendations, pictures, and welcome into the "club"! I think I'm going the route of one of every brand as my single EDC knife now lol.

Got to hold a BM 940 and am thinking about slightly upping my budget...it also seems widely revered, even from advocates of other brands, as one of the best EDC knives bar none. It also seems to carry amazingly well for the size blade, and as someone said above, my jacket pocket is also a viable thought/option, and truthfully, probably better than having ANYTHING clipped to my pocket suit wise.

I think the ZTs (566 and 350) and BM 940 are where I'm deciding between now, after even more reading, and researching.

So what did you end up getting ?

I really enjoyed your post bflying! Nice blade stash you've got going.

Hey thanks. How do I put this..... I have problems. [emoji51][emoji16][emoji56]

Lots of great options. My top 3 recommendations based on your criteria would be:

Spyderco Sage 1
ZT 0770CF
Benchmade 940-1

For suit carry, the CF Chaparral is the perfect size and weight. Slide it into an outside suit coat pocket, and it's unnoticeable--too light to weigh down your jacket, and too small to print. But a really, really nice slicer. Also non-threatening and kind of pretty.

For jeans and non-suit pants, all sorts of good options: delica, caly3, sages of all varieties, natives. But get the Chaparral for your suit.
