First Regular Large Sebenza, What to Expect?

I like regulars as well and I tend to gravitate toward the graphic ones, they seem to flow a bit better with certain graphics IMHO.

The large regular, IMHO, is one of the best knives in existance. I'd take a large regualar over any 21 out there. Even if I had a discus 21 and someone wanted to trade me their large regular, I'd do it without batting an eyelash.

The moon song graphics on the large regular is probably my favorite CGG Sebenza. I was the second to last bidder on one of those the other night, and lost it by 10 dollars! I was a little bummed, but then I scored a plane jane large regular the next morning :thumbup:

I would snatch up a Moon song version in a heartbeat if I could find one. Thanks for sharing!

I seem to always miss out on the plain Regulars which I want very bad,

The primary difference IMO, is the super smooth opening, and then the "Chunk" closing. You will know what I mean very soon.
If I don't score a plain one soon one of the graphic Regulars is going to be sacrificed and carried. I just can't decide which one.

Second, the blade shape is just much better for EDC in my opinion. Food prep is a dream with the large regular. Mine has the swedge and I love it.
Also for some reason the knife feels chunkier. I know it isn't but it feels that way to me. It feels like a tank, a beautiful tank...:)
You will love it, use it and you won't look back...congrats!!!

Lisa, those are simply awesome. I really enjoy the moonsong graphic alot! Congratulations again on getting the set.

The funny thing about this post is I was going to get a Large 21 plain jane with Ladder Damascus, then got the itch for a Large Regular and hunted one down instead!

I would still love a Damascus 21, but really don't see that happening after this one. I've got a trip to New Orleans to save up for in late August and a 25 on order, but you never know :D

I like those alot. I keep thinking I'm more of a plain jane or Micarta kind of guy, but I'm really digging some of the graphics that have been posted lately.

As to which to use if you don't get a Plain Jane Regular? I say try really hard to find one...then use all three!:thumbup:

Tomorrow is the big day. Last update showed it in Indianapolis so its only a half an hour away as I type! I can't wait! :)
 
I'm also partial to the Regular Sebenza and this pair is one of my favorites. They are both BG42 and the credit for the picture goes to MVG.

All you have to do is look at my many posts on the large regular sebenza to get my feelings on it. I think the large regular sebenza is the finest folder ever made. I have several and hope to keep them all. Though something things come up where I have to part with some, but I am hoping my current staple stay with me for awhile. Ergo's, blade shape.......it just does not get any better than this....!!!

Cant wait to see pics of yours and what you think of it....!!!
 
Alright I give in. My name is James and I like graphic Sebenzas. There, that felt good to get off my chest:D

Those are awesome, the one on the bottom in particular blows me away. Fantastic knives and I appreciate you sharing them:thumbup:

nyefmaker, your pics and posts are a major reason for me getting the itch to own one. I had to see what it's all about for myself! Today is going to be a long one, once the Out For Delivery update shows every minute feels like an hour :(

Hope I didn't hype it up to myself too much...I'm betting I didn't :thumbup:
