Not sure if this the correct subforum, but just thought I'd share some pics of a well used blade that I just reinvigorated.

I removed most of the jimping a few years ago to make it a usable tool, and subsequently used it so much I wore out the rubber inserts on the stock slabs. So, knowing how much I like the BM 154CM, I took to adding some black linen micarta, filing the raised tang, and removing the ramp, and voila.

Venturing into this new hobby cost me a toal of $35 bucks and that includes one of Pops counterbores ;) All other work done using file, saw, and sandpaper. Took the micarta to 400 grit. Not sure if I will do much more. Its now more hand-filling and comfortable to use.

Must say, I enjoyed breathing life into this blade. So much so, that I ordered some Olive Wood slabs and some 01 to make my wife a decent kitchen knife. :)

Sorry for the crappy tablet pics. Much fun was had.
