first river trip in 09

finaly got out on the river for memorial day this is how i start off my summer every year did get many pics but here are a few. one of the guys that went with me was a rookie and didnt bring food or water. so he had to drink river water that would be a death sentence in the summer the water in this strech of the river has to mant pestasidce to drink safely. but the farmers hadn't planted yet so i let him had to cut the trip short cause i felt guilty letting him drink the water:o. i caught dinner for him the first night and my freind jamie caught his lunch the next day we all had a little but gave the bulk of it to him. the real funny part to me was i had one marine one army and one navy guy with me the navy guy had no supplys i was shocked at this .

not much knife pron it's a sin i no but when i have rookies i dont get much photo time my wife took most of the pics i posted. one of the rookies with me asked where i shopped cause i had the rite gear. i said it's not where i shop it's what i do and the forum i hang out in has tought me what i need and a little trial and error as well i could give you a list of internet stores but with out knowledge your just shottin in the dark:thumbup:
 
thats a beautiful place there like the rocks out though the middle like that would be good fishing:thumbup:

I bet filleting catfish on that log with that rigid blade was a chore. Looks like you accomplished it though.
