First Sebenza!

I finally see what all the hype is about! It was used, and MIGHT need a trip the spa, but man, opens like butter, so well made, tolerances are amazing...puts everything else I own to shame.

Very nice. The Sebenza is one of the rare ones that actually deserves all of the hype. Wonderful knife.

I like them well worn. Save the spa trips for a dressier variant.

agreed- IMO sending plain Jane Sebenza to the spa for cosmetic reasons is a waste of money. You are just going to remark it when you use it. I only send them for warranty work-meaning I rarely send knives in

Thanks all! I just took it apart and cleaned it! Was definitely a user, but am in agreement on the no spa. Really, only reason for spa was getting the edge "Sebenzad". My buddy is pretty insanely good at sharpening, so will have him hook me up instead.

The lock is TIGHT, takes a lot of pressure to disengage, more pressure than any blade I've ever used. I had a small bit of trouble lining up the bushings putting it back together, but, it's now cleaned, oiled, fluid, and ready to be sharpened.

Definitely greater than the sum of it's parts. Don't expect it to be at all like any other Ti framelock. They're difficult to escape now, but none of them feel like a Sebenza. None that I've handled anyway.

Congratulations! I was almost gonna say don't send it off because they look so good with wear on them. Like fine denim, quality hand tools, nice cutting boards, etc. Instead after you've come off the honey moon and fondling a bit, send it to the spa so you can experience a fresh CRK and take part in the enjoyment of putting your own wear on the knife.

Better yet, keep aging that one and buy another one brand new
