Thanks, I will try that. That should fix most of it, but you have any advice for possibly too much material taken away where the pin goes through the blade? That seems to be another contributer.

You could add epoxy and then file away with a fingernail file to get a tighter fit. You could also try and add thin nylon, or bronze washers on the blade, though you would have to source them from some where (knife making supply stores will have different sizes. They are cheap)
