First sheath with a fire steel loop

Thanks for the kind words.

fbusmc: That blade has magnum OD G10 handles and a double cut blade. I made the fire steel loop tight so after use it should be nice and snug. Though over time as the fire steel's diameter shrinks I suppose it will get loose.

Texas Slim: I did not use a sewing machine; I drill the holes with a drill press and stitch by hand.

That is seriously nice. Everyone has their own tastes when it comes to leather work and sheaths, but my idea of perfection is what you have done here and in the pin-lock game warden sheath you posted last week. I love the materials, colors, lines, and craftsmanship of both sheaths.

I have a question for you regarding this sheath:
Would it fit both the magnum handled CG ASH (as pictured/ .32 blade,) and an ASH SE (.220 blade with standard scales)? ...Or, are the tolerances pretty tight, meaning the ASH SE would be loose in the sheath?

Terrific looking sheath. I love the dangler design and the firesteel loop is a nice touch.

That sheath looks pretty cool! It also looks like it will convert from a hanging one, to a belt loop one by removing the hanging loop, is that correct?

.

That is the PERFECT ASH sheath. Very nice Michael. I cant wait for my GW Pin Lock. Should be here tomorrow hopefully.

Texas Slim: Any time!

Memtosh45: I size the welt of my sheaths to be slightly snug against the blade it's designed for. So this one made for a CG, for example, will be pretty loose for an SE. The retention strap is cut for magnum handles, and might be way too loose for the thin SE handles. With a pin-lock I think you could accommodate both knives, the SE would just rattle around a bit. :D

Randucci: That's the plan! It's the reason for two of the three snaps you see on the back-side of the sheath.

look very gooooood, mike! your danglers are something to behold.

Mike that's some of the finest sheath work I have ever seen. I want one!!
