First sheaths

Oooh. None of the forming sorry. I now have it in the countertop oven at 120-130 per Horsewright's pancake sheath tutorial.

At first I thought it was going to be too small at the throat but the wetting really helped.

Thanks to everyone again, it would take forever to muddle through this by oneself.

Forming done. (Even though you can't see it there is a decent "shelf" for the bolster to hit) I think he'll like it.

Looking good. How did you drill your holes this time? Did you try a board to rest it on like Anthony recommended? If you didn't, it might help with the wandering stitch line on the back.

I've got a board but I need a cut out. The problem was the belt loop in the back. Next one should be straight!

Yeah, that is what the slot is for. In a pinch, you can also hang the loop off the side of the board and carefully drill your holes in that area. Another thing that helped me keep things straight was I switched from a drill bit in the press to using a needle in the drill press. I always seemed to fight the smaller drill bits wandering, but the needle seemed to keep true.
