first snow hike

Hello today some friends went for a hike, first snow of 2012.
The temperature was under cero centigrades; the water in my plastic bottel was partially frozen even it was moving.
Anyway good time spent, sorry today no knives pics.

Thanks for posting the pics. We are having a mild winter and there have been no snowfalls with accumulation enough to get outside and enjoy.

I was introduced to winter hiking some years ago and can't believe I never did it before.
You usually have the woods to yourself.

yes I agree the woods are for you alone and If you are able to go there from monday to friday you have more chance to meet with none ;-)
