Pit, nice shots, seems like a beautiful place to call home. Any of those boats belong to friends of yours by chance? I'm "assuming" they have some dry docks or covered slips or boat houses close by for this time of year? Looks like it won't be long until they become ice sculptures . . .

Nah, we do have friends with boats but they were not there. Last year I went down to the same spot and one boat had become frozen in, two guys were getting from the boat to the shore by canoe and having to smash the ice in front of the canoe as they went !!!

as usual great pics--the trees appear as ghostly sentries guarding the white silence of the snow. we do'nt get snow in austin but once every 10 years. thanks for the beauty.

Looks like the Island got it pretty good! I went for a hike today for first snow as well. There was less snow on top of Sumas Mountain near Chilliwack than there is over on your end of BC! Crazy!
