I think I can manage ;) and I was looking at the kydex at Mashed Cat as the link was on the Scrap yard site, but I will check out that rainwalker :)
 
The handle on the RatManDu is killer. They've done a couple of runs of them already, I don't know if I'd completely write them off.
 
So when do you think Eric will have more RatManDus in stock?

as others said I would jump on the 711! while you can. if the res-c is not to your liking then wait till the swamps rodent 7 comes out and sell the 711. you will be surprised with res-c! I was also worried about it when I got into Busse and kin knives but my collection has more Res-c then micarta at this point.
 
When is the Swamp's Rodent 7 coming out? Could the answer possibly be the same as when Eric will have RatManDus in stock again?

The time to buy ANY Busse knife is when you see it. Hesitate and you run the risk of either losing out or having to pay more for it on the secondary market.

My plan is when I get the money I will order the 711, unless it has been discontinued then if there's something better I grab that or wait til something comes along :P Just need to worry about a sheath

Nope. Too many great sheathmakers to worry about getting one. Just gotta worry about paying for it is all. ;) :D
 
Of course. So are kydex sheaths from every company I originally recommended. Just depends on what style you like and who you like working with the best.
 
azwelke has the pancake and taco styles of kydex sheaths for the 711. can be found through him here on BForums or on the bay.
 
I will vouch for azwelke and say his kydex sheaths are some of the nicest kydex sheaths i have. Great choice on the 711, i do not have one but do have a son of dogfather, the blade shapes are almost the same , very useful size knife and after you have resc handled knife youll be spoiledfor life
 
you gotta get an RMD while they have one! my second RMD is on its way and will be here tomorrow, heres a pic of my first RMD

the sheath is from Al who i highly recommend, i'll be having him make my second sheath when i have the funds :D
 
The RMD is 3/16" thick SR101. And for a knife its size, that's PLENTY thick enough.
