Honestly, after admiring your new Buck knife, what’s the first thing you did to it?

Oil it, Sharpen it, clean up the factory blade, press the bolsters…. Or nothing, it was perfect!

Anyone found that recent purchases Need some light finishing; cleaning up the grind, etc. I have sadly, but still love the classic folders.

I do a little bit of clean up, then make a photo for posting, of course. 😂

After that, I leave it out on my desk and do the open/close, stare, fondle thing for a while. :)

Eventually, I will put them in a drawer until ready to use, but my 301, 303 and 110 have been sitting on top for a while now. Every once in a while, I pull out one of the others to repeat some more of that earlier pattern. :p

Same I do with every knife. Add a minuscule sharpening choil and fix the factory recurve.
