While all of the above recommendations are great, I'd also recommend a UK Penknife. I have a drop point model that I love. It's a very lightweight, non-locking model, but has a nice size blade. The CTS-BD1 Steel isn't the best for edge retention, but you can get it very sharp without much effort. I only paid $35 for mine on the blade exchange.
