First time considering EDCing a fixed blade

You may want to consider the Bark River Knives "Gunny" - black canvas handle is least expensive and about at your price level. You can get it with or without the thumb ramp, which I the ramp personally. Sweet feeling handle swells to fill your palm, but much smaller than the RC4 with about the same cutting edge length.
I have both... now I have to figure the photo post out, with a busted USB port.

I have two EDC fixed blades, the Ka-Bar TDI and a Benchmade Num Cub II

The ka-bar is smaller, easier to conceal but not very useful for utility tasks due to the pistol grip.

The benchmade is larger with a 3.5" blade. It is suprisingly lightweight and extremely sharp out of the box. I do not care for the sheath. it is set up for the Malice Clip system and does not carry well on a belt.

If I could carry something larger than 3.5" I would be looking at the cold steel recon line or perhaps a master tanto (cold steel)

I also have a Ka-Bar full size and a full size Khukri but dont carry those often.

Kenash, that gunny looks just like what I am looking for.. thanks!

Charlie Mike, I will be emailing you shortly

Indeed, I am.

Forgot this was the thread started this project!

If you can wait a few months, the Becker BK15, 16, or 17 would be a great choice. Awesome knives, all. You might also look into some customs. You should be able to get something you like for your budget if it's a good, affordable steel (1095 springs to mind).

-edit- Whoops, forgot to check post date or second page.

SHARPFINGERS are cheap, plentiful, hold a good edge and cut most anything......just my 0.2 worth.............................FES
