First time folder

I’m working with my first folder. Purchased as a kit. The design is a framelock design with open-spacer backspine. The provided scales do not cover the full frame and I would prefer that they do. I’m going to make custom scales and I don’t know how to attach the scales around the pivot. And the open back spine is new to me as well.

All advice welcome.

I don’t think I can post a pic with out violating any of the advertisement rules. I will have to wait until I have the kit in hand and take my own pictures.
