First time handle maker (BK2)

Some people dont read between the lines. Apparently I dont read between the photos.:D
It was kind of snuck in there.

I used to be on a bunch of photo forums so I am used to looking between the photos for info. That is the only reason I do instead of scroll through looking for the precious!
 
I got the scales for a song because one of the scales has a defect on the backside, but it shouldnt be noticeable. I left about 1/16 around the edges to give some wiggle room but I probably should have left an 1/8", or drilled first like you mentioned.

I did make a set out of some scrap pine, just to dial in the blade tension, and get the feel of using a 1/8 blade. Once I figure out the type of hardware, I will test fit everything with the pine before going any further with these.

I would love to use a copper mosaic tubes, but I would like to be able swap handles. I am going to look into different brass or stainless screws.

My 2 cents ... take your time, messure/fit 10 times, cut/drill once. (LOL)

great lookin wood scales in the works there. lookin forward to seeing the finished product. I've never heard of the wood before, but it looks great bud.
