I took a look, and they look, well, not up to par with HI. In addition, if you take a look at the sheaths on them, the stiching is inconsistent and almost looks haphazard. In addition, the handles, as were previously mentioned, don't look too great. Another point of interest is the pricing. Out of curiousity i checked out the standard KaBar USMC knife, which go for 53.95. The kukri's they sell go for between 45.95 and 76.95. That just doesn't ring true to me. A good handmade khuk should be more than that, and if it isn't, then one there is something wrong with it (bad quality) or two the kamis making them are not getting their fair share. I would much rather buy from a company that I know supports the kamis and Nepalese, and is possibly the most quality/customer satisfaction oriented company I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Theres my two cents, if it's worth even that

. I have only one knife from HI, an 18 inch AK, and I use it all of the time, for everything from clearing trails, to chopping wood, to clearing deadfall, to killing snakes. It is, without a doubt, the first in a long line of purchases for me from HI (limiting factor being a poor college student, but the ROTC stipend should take care of that next year....I think a khuk a month sounds about right

).
Quad
(OT: My Gunny joking accused me of trying to compensate for something when I showed him the khuk...apparently his was much smaller).
