Hey Guys, As a lot of you probebly know im a college student, And I just got home for the first time this year and Wow, I have more wood than I think I thought....

150 lb African Blackwood
75 lb Kingwood
250 lb Snakewood
800 lb Cocobolo
250 lb maple burl and figured maple

Ill try to take some pictures, but wow.

Also, my parents kicked me out of the garage for storage, so all of this wood is in my bedroom, stashed away in corners and in every drawer....

Looking forward to the photos - good luck getting them all "just as you want".

I'm kinda the same way, though don't have near what you do. I'm in vet school, so I've been ordering wood to let it dry for a couple years while here. Now I have 3 tables taken over and filled with wood back home.

send a pic of your bedroom.... i've already seen your garage

what's your thoughts on Holly as a wood? my readings tell me it's not a great knife handle

Holly is a very nice white wood. I've only ran across in the boating world when used with Teak 'n Holly soles in boats. Seems to be a tough fine grained wood. I'll bet it would look good with blackwood, using a spacer between them to prevent the blackwood from staining the holly.

When I get a really nice piece of holly, I stabilize it and set it aside for two-tone wa handles. It does look a lot like ivory when finished.
