First time poster with a new find

Yes it was a great find at 7 bucks even if I had to tighten the blades up. Thanks for the thread on the queen knives some nice cutters on there.
 
Very nice find for the price. This tang stamp style was used from 1976 to 1983 although the year was stamped with two digits above the USA stamp

Yeah squeezed the bolsters together to tighten the blades they had some side to side blade play then I peened the pivot pin has no play now
 
Beautiful knife; I'd of jumped on it too for anything under $10. At that price it's a great carry knife.
Taker 'er easy though - the bone with that deep crack isn't going to hold up to much abuse like being dropped or sent through the laundry. ;)
 
Yeah the crack was the only downside to it. The only other thing is that it has great walk but the talk has seem to have gotten a little quiet with years of use. Still has plenty of life in it though. I figured it would make a good weekend knife.
 
Take and put some crazy glue or modelers CYA on that cracked bone before you have that piece drop out. Nice knife.
