Easy for me to say (Never attempted this) but the end of the antler should be covered...
Other than that fit and finish look good

It never even occurred to me to do that, Hankins...... hmmmmmmmm. That would flow well. I just have to figure out how to do it, now.

Rick ..... That is a total FAIL! I will despose of it properly. I will also pay for what ever the shipping costs are.:D

I really like this one. Maby a little tighter fit on the gard to handle. Thats about all I see.

I agree about covering the front of the antler, Rick. But other than that, very nice.

That little rat-tail curl on the ricasso is really a neat touch and the habaki looks good too.

Awesome..I've used those copper pipe end caps as the stock to completely cover the end. Works like a charm.

I agree that it would be better with the end of the antler covered but it's really
nice just as it is.

I enjoy the exposed antler and it will look amazing after the copper takes on verti green.

that's one damn cool knife.

Oh... you guys are talking about covering the cut portion of antler...... ahhhhhh .... I thought you meant putting a cap on the tip. That would be cool, IMO.

As for capping the handle side..... Nope.... I could have used a copper cap, but preferred the open face. It has been filled with CA glue and buffed. The entire handle cavity was filled with West Systems Fast Epoxy and the tang pressed in. It is completely solid and sealed.

That is sweet. I wouldn't cover the tip of the stag. Now a copper lined hole with a copper ring and braided horsehair pull would kick it.

Guess I'm just a "Pith Snob" :)
Actually after re-thinkng it, it does fit with the theme of the knife.

Lovely! I also would have liked the top covered but you nailed it either way.

PS: The background is too busy for my taste. The knife is beautiful and would pop on a more neutral one. Am I picky or what tonight?. :( ;)

Good point, Patrice... I can see exactly what you mean. Once I finish the sheath, I'll reshoot on a solid neutral background.
