OK, I know the sheath has a pocket clip, but this is about as traditional as I get =)

Custom shop 110 with ram horn, ns bolsters, S30v blade and engraved rear bolster. Sheath by Claude Scott.

Nice looking knife and sheath! Do you have a shot of the other side of the handle? Would love to see it!

That´s really a great looking knife. Those horn scales are a looker, as well as the sheath!

Congratz on that beautiful setup! :)

I´m sure, it will serve you well for a long time!

Thanks guys! Yeah I'll snap a pic of the other side in a few minutes...its pretty well matched, doesn't have as many orange hues as the show side but pretty close.

I love ram's horn! I have them on a straightrazor I shave with. The material gets grippier when it is wet. Simply amazing.

I like the stippling on the sheath, too. Makes it resemble elephant hide.

I am not a big fan of the 110 in the slightest, but those custom shop 110's drive me nuts! That one is the best one I've ever seen, and I've seen some nice ones. Great score!

What. A. Beauty.

The sheath is first class as well!

Many congratulations.

Thanks! Yeah Claude does great stuff, it's extremely well crafted.

Thank you! Yeah Claude asked me about pattern but there's only so much you can do with a folder sheath. I said I prefer a hammered texture over a weave and he took it from there.

I also love the rams horn. That is a wonderful start to your, soon to be vast, traditional collection.

That's what I'm afraid of. Bye bye money! :o

very nice, I'd like soming like that

Thank you! Get one! The whole project cost me right around $200 for the knife and the sheath. For an extremely well made factory custom and a top shelf leather sheath that's not too shabby IMO.

Wow! Thank you! Yeah I've seen some damn good ram 110s and I'm happy that mine is one of the best I've seen.

I was going to go with sambar but the consistency wasn't there. I saw some outstanding ones and some poor ones. Even the less gnarly rammys I've seen have still looked fantastic.

Beautiful ! I love the 110. I remember my step dad teaching me how to flick the 110 open with one hand back when I was a wee little lad. haha

Superb man absolutely superb.
Just one question.
Where to from here?

Paul Bos S30V is superb. That's an heirloom quality knife, that is still very utilitarian. I like useful, and attractive knives. It's like the best of both worlds. Open topped sheaths are all the rage in this part of the world, I welcome that trend, and loath buttons/snaps for most knives.

The Buck 110 is perhaps the most iconic American knife of our collective lifetimes, and in bark ram's horn and S30V it is EXTRA PRIMO !!

Clip on sheath? No problem.

Fantastic knife and a great looking sheath! Congrats!

As has been mentioned the Paul Bos heat treat schedule Buck uses for S30V is as good as it gets. Great performer.
