First Traditional/Slip Joint

Thanks much - that's good to know about the steel. I was a little disappointed to see the Rockwell as low as 55 on the C75 vs 59 on the 1095. But, I guess that will make it all the easier to sharpen.

I don't think you will notice a difference, my Boker 7474 yellow bone stockman has been in use for about 8-10 years and it takes a great edge and holds it. It was my EDC knife that I used at work ( trades ) camping, hiking, whittling, kitchen, etc. the bone is now super smooth, still no gaps or play, & I keep my knives sharp and maintained and the blades still look full. I just added a Boker 5474 Congress to my pocket, if I noticed a problem with the steel on my stockman I wouldn't have bought it, I hate a knife that goes dull after minimal use. I have never been disappointed with any Boker product, they have great heat treats, congrats on your purchase and enjoy.

Thanks so much for the info on your personal experience with the steel Pete - sounds like it'll serve me well. Makes me even more excited to get these new blades!
