First try at a kitchen knife, as well as a stag handled bowie.

I used 1095, normalized 3 times and then quenched in oil. Scales are a combination of black walnut burl and a maple burl, was going for the hand rubbed look as a finish. 13" overall 8.5" blade Ignore the blue tape, this was almost finished.

Stag handled knife made from whitetail deer antler, 1095, same process as above and 1/4" brass bar stock for guard that i ground and polished, used a hidden tang with epoxy to hold it in there. 11" overall 6" blade

I like both but especially the kitchen knife !!

well, only being 19, i got started a lot earlier than most people I know of around here...been at it about 2 months id say

How, you too ????? 2 months ??? Is it a trend to make some unbelievable pieces in just 2 months... Just great work, I'm really impressed...

I guess there is a creative competition going on here between newbies :p:D
