would someone try to tell me what you do when you want to put a liner under g10. do you drill into the liner like the steel part of the handle or just rough it up with sandpaper?
vern
I take my say.....1.5" x 12" piece of G-10, sand one side with 60 grit. then take a 2" by 12" liner material, sand 1 side of it.
Spread Epoxy on the the G-10 piece, then squish the G-10 piece in teh center of the liner. Then I use spring clamps to hold teh 2 to a flat piece of glass that overhangs one of my work surfaces. (I also cut leather on this piece of glas and store it away when not needed)
I have newspaper under the whole get up when gluing up liner to handle material. Then once glue sets up, I use the bandsaw to cut the excess liner hangover and from that point on, use the material liek a standard non lined G-10 slab
