First finished knife.
Steel is M42 tool steel from worn out industrial hacksaw blades.

I'm interested, bit I can't see the photos. Btw, my first real blades were also out of commercial hacksaw blades and I loved that steel.

Very nice job on this. Love the handle, and that palm swell looks like it'd feel like one heck of a nice knife in the hand. Looks very Busse-esque too

One suggestion about the sheath. I note that you made it from a single piece of leather. I personally prefer to cut the belt look separately so that the smooth face of the leather is facing outward... something you can't do if the whole thing is cut from a single piece.

I went back and forth over that.
I finally decide on one piece because the belt loop is mostly hidden (was supposed to be almost completely hidden) with the knife in place.

brad sent me the knife to check out. for his first knife it turned out great. it feels good in my hand and should serve him well for anything he needs to do. the edge is ok but he needs more practice with the paper wheels though :p :D.

I really like the looks of that.

The "bulb" shape of the handle slabs is something I have not seen a lot of, but I like it!
