first two knives out my new forge

They are both made from nicholson files. the bottom one was for a friend who wanted it to look worn and old so he didnt let me clean it up as much as i wanted to. and the top one is forged to shape awaiting finishing grinding HT and so on... im going to do that one with a better polish and give it a little more attention. these are my 3rd and 4th knives over all. thanks...

also, i cant find what the name of the blade style of the big one is... can any one help me out. i dont know what to call it. thanks

If you leave it thick enough after forging, the initial grind clean up will take off any teeth. Once you have it ready for hardening, do some normalizing cycles to reduce any stresses from the teeth being forged in and make sure it's straight after the last normalizing cycle. Then go ahead and harden it. It should stay nice and straight.
 
i let it pretty thick, this is what it looked like after drawfileing both sides. i normalized it 2 times after i was done forging it, should i do it again before the HT?

just to make sure im doing it right, normalizeing is to bring it to nonmagnetic and then let it cool to room temperature. correct?
