Hey guys!
Today, as I was strolling through the Mall with my wife, I stumbled upon a small shop which wasn't there before. Decided to check it out, and was happy to realize they had a pretty large stand of SAK's.
I have been very curious about the Vic Farmer for quite a while now, so I went with the flow and bought one.
Luckily, my wife is supporting my addiction and said this knife is no fun without a sheath so I bought one of those as well.
Took some pics, sharpening is next.
Enjoy!

In addition to the many other reasons to own one, the Farmer fits perfectly in an Altoid's PSK as well.

It's one of the best for sure. Saw and awl i find are the 2 most useful blades, along with a slot screwdriver. and yes, great sheath as well.
i guess sometimes it pays to have a wife.

The awl was one the features that convinced me.
The only comment I can make about my wife right now is that she's nagging me to get that Hen&Rooster Sowbelly she once saw on my laptop screen over my shoulder :D

You have a nice knife and a nice wife. Hang on to both of them.

I had been thinking of a pioneer, but perhaps the farmer would be a better choice. The saw blade could definitely come in handy at times.

It's funny you mentioned that, I had the same thing on my mind before buying it. Made up my mind in an instant when I opened the saw, it's sturdy and sharp.

Nice pics, nice knife, nice wife, nice sheath!!! I carry a blue Farmer all the time - it's a great knife and I use one or more of the tools every day. And that little saw turns out to be much "bigger" than you may think! (I don't mean that as in "bulkier in the pocket", but as in "a very capable saw"). ;)

Farmers are GREAT! but if you spebt time mostly on urban environmant where saw arent a necessity, you cant go wrong with an alox soldier or pioneer... congrats on the purchase!

Can one of you owners tell me if that sheath comes with knife and if it will fit a 2 inch wide belt. Thanks

Thanks for the info. Where is the best place to buy the sheaths? Thanks

I'm guessin' you can buy them the same place you buy the knives (that's what I did) or you can buy them online. The online stores that sell SAK's also sell sheaths.

Congratulations on the new Farmer and sheath. They are addictive, so watch out! There are many flavors of Farmers out there and they arent terribly expensive, so it will be difficult to resist buying more. But the one you bought should serve you well for many years to come.so enjoy. I personally like to pair my Farmers up with a Classic/Rambler or LM Micra/Squirt to get the toothpick/tweezers,nailfile,pen blade, etc. With such a combo, you are pretty good to go for the day. The list can go on and on from there, but I will stop at that. Good luck.

Great knife lukacsmihaly, i just got one myself a couple weeks back, really liking it.

I'd like to get a Soldier (alox) too, but i gather they're out of production, as such they're now like hens teeth in the UK.

That would a problem if you want one for a collection, but for personal use, the Pioneer is the same animal, plus key ring attachment stud. That is something I find useful to attach a belt hanger. However, if you don't like the addition (some users complain that it interferes with a comfortable grip), it is a simple matter to grind down and PRESTO!, you have a Soldier.

soldier definately more comfortable for me and the look of the shield is just jewel to my eyes... its definately the same with pioneers.but to my hands and eyes they just not that the same... its an exact subtitute though... go get one..
