First "Vic" - It had to be the Farmer

Hi lucacsmihaly,

I think we europeans are some kind of minority here on baldeforums...

But back to your kinfe. I know, that the Farmer is a realy good knife for EDC. It´s able to do hard work with it. I EDC the Farmer as well, already for months. In addition to another folder or Fixedblade. But the Farmer is always in my pocket.

I hope you enjoy the knife as well...

Kind regards

That would a problem if you want one for a collection, but for personal use, the Pioneer is the same animal, plus key ring attachment stud. That is something I find useful to attach a belt hanger. However, if you don't like the addition (some users complain that it interferes with a comfortable grip), it is a simple matter to grind down and PRESTO!, you have a Soldier.

You are absolutely correct. Unfortunately the Pioneer is also in short supply in the UK, i have however tracked down a used Soldier in good condition tonight, so now i'm just awaiting delivery

I really blew it on that blue farmer- I had been eying one, and once I made up my mind to buy, it I went back it was gone..... - so I keep looking -- I did pick up a black pioneer however - and that's pretty cool!
Peace
Revvie

I think black Alox looks really good. I can't wait for the black alox farmer

The Farmer is a great SAK and one of my favourites for outdoor purposes. It feels really good in the hand.

Normally I cut PVC pipe with a ten point hand saw. But I recently replaced a vanity/sink/faucet. I glued the sink top to the vanity with silicone caulk. Then I discovered that the tailpiece was too long. In that cramped working space I used the saw on my Vic Farmer to shorten the tailpipe. Then I used the awl to trim the shavings off the cut before assembling the P-trap.

It worked a treat.

It's funny how you get your questions answered before even asking them around here. :D
Although I get out during the weekend, I'm mainly stuck in urban environment on week days. When I took a look at that saw blade, the question "Will it cut PVC?" came up in my mind.
Well, guess it works just fine, huh!

Like a charm.

A while ago I used the saw to cut a PVC pipe for some sort of blow pipe for my son:)
